Job Description

Electrical Engineer – PCB Design & Signal Processing

If you enjoy designing real electronics, and you care just as much about clean signal performance as you do about the circuit itself, this could be a genuinely interesting role.

We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer – PCB Design & Signal Processing to join our Product Development team and help shape new products and enhancements to existing ones. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the full hardware journey: translating requirements into board-level designs, selecting the right components, building prototypes, testing them properly, and solving the signal-quality issues that only show up in the real world.

You’ll work across electronics design, PCB development, prototyping and testing , while also contributing to the broader electrical architecture and how the product interfaces with other subsystems. It’s the kind of role that suits an engineer who likes being close to the product, not just designing it on paper, but helping make sure it performs reliably in practice.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing, developing, prototyping and testing electronics for new products and product improvements.
  • Supporting PCB design and helping ensure signal quality, reliability and performance in the finished hardware.
  • Selecting components and sub-systems to meet technical and reliability requirements.
  • Contributing to the broader electrical architecture and working with other stakeholders to define product needs.
  • Helping improve engineering processes and tools and contributing to project delivery.

What You’ll Bring

  • A background in electrical / electronics engineering with around 5+ years’ related experience including PCB design, prototyping, testing and board bring-up.
  • Proficiency with PCB CAD tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD/Allegro or equivalent.
  • Experience using laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analysers, function generators and spectrum analysers
  • Familiarity with embedded interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, CAN and USB.
  • Experience with circuit simulation tools (e.g. LTspice or PSpice) and component selection.
  • Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and electronic manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Python, MATLAB or LabVIEW for test automation or signal analysis would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of signal behaviour, especially where analog and digital systems need to work cleanly together.
  • A practical approach to problem solving and the ability to work across design, development and stakeholder groups.
  • A relevant degree in engineering or equivalent experience.

If this sounds like the right next step for you, we’d love to see your application.
