Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Electronic Engineer role based in Cairo, Egypt. The engineer will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems used in rail operations, including power supply, control circuits, and signaling equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing system requirements, preparing and reviewing electrical and electronic circuit designs, and assisting with installation, testing, and commissioning activities. The role involves conducting diagnostics and troubleshooting faults, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and railway regulations. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, prepare technical documentation and reports, and contribute to continuous improvement and modernization projects across the rail network.
Qualifications

Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with the ability to apply core principles to rail power and control systems.

Proficiency in Electronic Engineering and Circuit Design for control, signaling, protection, and monitoring applications.

Demonstrated Analytical Skills for diagnosing system issues, interpreting technical data, and optimizing designs and maintenance plans.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

Familiarity with rail, transportation, or industrial power systems is preferred; experience with safety-critical systems is an advantage.

Ability to read and produce technical drawings and documentation using relevant software tools (e.g., CAD or electrical design tools).

Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities, with readiness to work on-site in operational environments.

Willingness to work in shifts or respond to critical incidents when required, in line with rail operation needs.
