We're Hiring | Bilingual Edge Gateway Development Engineer (Embedded Linux / AWS WebRTC / IoT)

Are you passionate about building cutting-edge IoT and video streaming solutions? Join us to develop an advanced Edge Gateway that enables low-latency live streaming from IP cameras to the cloud using Embedded Linux, AWS Kinesis Video Streams (WebRTC), and modern IoT technologies.

📍 Location: Fully Remote (Online meetings required)

🕒 Employment Type: Contract (Long-term project)

📅 Start Date: August (Earlier joining can be discussed)

🗣️ Language Requirement: Japanese – JLPT N2 or above

Key Responsibilities

✅ Develop Linux-based edge gateway software for IP camera streaming

✅ Implement RTSP H.264 pass-through (without re-encoding)

✅ Integrate with AWS Kinesis Video Streams (WebRTC)

✅ Develop IoT connectivity using AWS IoT Device Shadow

✅ Implement camera control APIs with HTTP Digest Authentication

✅ Receive AI detection events and transmit them securely to the cloud

✅ Prepare technical documentation and perform hardware validation

Required Skills

✔ 5+ years of software development experience

✔ C/C++ development on Embedded Linux

✔ GStreamer video pipeline development and debugging

✔ AWS IoT & AWS Kinesis Video Streams experience

✔ WebRTC fundamentals (ICE, STUN, TURN, SRTP)

✔ RTSP, H.264/H.265 streaming knowledge

✔ ARM cross-compilation experience

✔ HTTP/REST API development

✔ GoogleTest / GoogleMock

✔ Git and code review experience

✔ Ability to read technical documentation in English
