Your Role And Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate and experienced EDA Methodology Engineer to join our Backend EDA team, focusing on Physical design flow development using Synopsys DC/DCNXT. In this role, you’ll work closely with design teams and EDA vendors to develop and implement robust PD flows used by IBM ASIC design teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Synthesis & physical design flows using Synopsys DC/DCNXT.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align synthesis & physical design methodology with design goals.
  • Drive methodology improvements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver high-quality solutions.

Preferred Education

Master's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or VLSI Design.
  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience with Synopsys DC/DCNXT.
  • Expertise in Tcl and Python scripting.
  • Deep knowledge of Physical design flow starting from Synthesis to GDS.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex physical design issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

  • Experience with Synopsys DC/DCNXT, Synopsys Fusion Compiler, Cadence Innovus, Synopsys ICC2
