Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Design Engineer specialising in Automation and Robotic systems, located in Keysborough, VIC. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing custom machinery and robotics projects. Daily tasks include creating detailed mechanical and product designs, developing systems using 3D computer-aided design (CAD) tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet technical and functional requirements. The role also involves troubleshooting, testing, and optimising designs to achieve high performance.


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Design Engineering and Product Design, with a focus on creating innovative and efficient solutions
  • Strong background in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, applicable to automation and robotics systems
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for high-level design and visualisation
  • Ability to analyse and solve complex technical problems effectively and efficiently
  • Strong project management, communication, and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related Engineering fields required
  • Experience with simulation software and mechanical risk analysis is a plus
