The Opportunity

As a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer, you will be part of an Agile development team where you will support the design, development, modification, and evaluation of signals intelligence, radar, and communications prototype development systems, related software systems, and development environments for our Navy customer. You will work on cutting-edge projects that involve the development of innovative solutions for processing and analyzing digital signals in real-time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in signal processing and practical experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing DSP algorithms for various applications.

Responsibilities

Duties will include all aspects of software engineering, including: requirements analysis and specification software design, implementation and integration, testing, maintenance and installation.

Design and develop advanced DSP algorithms for various applications, including audio processing, image processing, communications systems

Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure efficient implementation of DSP algorithms on target platforms

Collaborate with the Customer and their representatives to take requirements and translate them into end-to-end solutions.

Collaborate with DevSecOps team in implementing CI/CD processes to facilitate efficient and effective development cycles

Collaborate with external teams to integrate our software products onto different environments

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for speed and scalability across distributed environments

Be an avid contributor to the team willing to jump in to new projects, and add input when collaborating

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related field
• 5 years of hands-on DSP software development experience
• Strong proficiency in C, C++ Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability
• Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and within agile team constructs to lead developers in fast paced, collaborative environments
• Strong documentation skills following templated formats for both informal and formal documents (Confluence, Word, Power Point, Excel)
• Proficiency in debugging issues and providing solutions in both high level and detailed format
• Active TS/SCI security clearance

• Knowledge of Agile software development best practices
• Familiar with DSP hardware including Analog Devices, FPGAs (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays)
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB Proficiency utilizing Linux based system (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, VxWorks)
• Proficiency with multi-threaded, multi-core design and/or real-time operating systems

The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is

$94,400 - $198,200
