The ideal candidate has strong experience with embedded firmware development, real-time operating systems, and control algorithms, along with a passion for building reliable, high-performance embedded software.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Firmware, Software, Systems, Hardware, and Compliance Engineering throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, and implement embedded firmware for real-time control applications.
  • Develop and optimize grid support and control algorithms for power electronics systems.
  • Create and execute Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) integration and validation tests.
  • Develop, debug, and maintain embedded software using C and C++ in RTOS-based environments.
  • Optimize firmware for performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot embedded hardware and software integration issues.
  • Develop automated test suites and support system verification activities.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Support product validation, compliance testing, and field issue investigation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience developing embedded firmware for real-time control systems.
  • Strong programming skills in C and C++.
  • Experience working with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Experience developing highly reliable, mission-critical embedded applications.
  • Familiarity with embedded debugging, firmware validation, and integration testing.
  • Experience with Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) and/or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with power electronics, energy storage systems, renewable energy, or industrial automation.
  • Understanding of electrical grid or microgrid operations.
  • Experience implementing digital control algorithms for embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with embedded communication protocols and hardware interfaces.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
