Avanciers is seeking an experienced Component Engineer – Electronics & PCB to join our team in Richmond, VA (Onsite) . This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in PCBA manufacturing, PCB design, electronic components, and New Product Introduction (NPI) . You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to support product development, resolve production issues, and ensure high-quality electronic assemblies.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Component Engineer with experience in PCB design, PCBA manufacturing, and electronic components . The ideal candidate will support component selection, manufacturing, testing, and New Product Introduction (NPI) while working closely with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of PCB and electronic components.
• Review PCB layouts and support design improvements.
• Work with manufacturing teams to resolve production issues.
• Support NPI, engineering changes, and quality initiatives.
• Analyze component availability and obsolescence risks.
• Assist with prototype builds, validation, and PCB testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in PCBA manufacturing and PCB design .
• Strong knowledge of SMD/THD components , PCB layouts, and Gerber files.
• Experience with AOI, AXI, ICT, FCT, JTAG , and other PCB testing methods.
• Experience with multilayer PCBs .
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP .

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of IPC/CE standards .
• Experience with PTC Windchill , CAD , or SolidWorks .
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
