As a Qualcomm CPU Architecture Engineer, you will architect and design state-of-the-art CPUs that push the envelope on performance, energy efficiency, and scalability. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the world of compute products from conceptualization through post-silicon verification.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Architecture, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Architecture, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ year of work and/or academic CPU Architecture or related work experience.
• 1+ year work and/or academic experience with programming (e.g., C, C++, etc.).
  
  
  

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of CPU Architecture (e.g., data prefetching) to assist in the architect, design, prototyping, and/or optimization of CPU features for high performance and low power.
• Assists in building performance modeling simulators, developing software, tools, and tests, running benchmarks for applications, and performing pre- and post-silicon verification to ensure performance and power goals are met.
• Analyzes routine workloads in order to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Debugs and addresses routine performance model issues.
• Collaborates with team members to identify design solutions that meet CPU performance and power requirements.
• Writes detailed technical documentation and test descriptions for projects.

Pay Range And Other Compensation & Benefits

$122,300.00 - $183,500.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
