Description
As a CPU Implementation Lead Engineer, you will own or participate in the following: nn

CPU IP deliveryn

Work with multi-functional engineering teams to implement and validate physical design in the aspects of timing, power, area, electrical analysis, functionality, reliability, and testabilityn

Work extensively with the partition implementation team to make area/frequency/performance/power tradeoffs and remove bottlenecks in meeting design targets and delivery schedulen

Participate in the definition and enhancement of RTL-to-GDS flow through synthesis and place-and-route targeting aggressive targets for power, performance, and arean

Mentor junior engineers
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experiencenExperience in driving chip implementation from definition phase to silicon correlationnExperience working with cross-functional teams spanning technology, architecture, RTL u0026 Physical designnExperience in synthesis u0026 place-and-route
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with high performance microprocessor architecture fundamentalsnExperience in leading initiatives for improving power, performance, u0026 area on CPUsnKnowledge of logic design principles along with timing and power implicationsnUnderstanding of low power microarchitecture and implementation techniquesnExperience with scripting in Perl and/or TCLnDesign experience in deep submicron technologies and basic transistor level design and device physics
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.u003cbru003eu003cbru003eApple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
