GlobalLogic Automotive department is glad to invite C++ Embedded Engineer to an Automotive project in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Our clients are Tier 1s and OEMs from Europe and USA and development is targeted to Automotive Solution what will be deployed in newest European cars. We have many interesting engagements in the automotive industry and other domains, currently we are growing in the Nordics.
Requirements
- B.S in Computer Science or M.S in Computer Engineering or similar qualifications from an accredited universitะฝ
- Strong background of system design, implementation, testing and maintenance C/C++
- Experience working with automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LIN)
- Experience in Embedded software development in Automotive domain (Linux, QNX)
- Experience with industry standard requirements and agile development tools such as JIRA, Git/gerrit, Confluenc
- Experience in working with cross functional teams
- Practical debugging skills

Good communication skills
- Experience in fault detection, fault handling and automotive diagnostics
- Common understanding of ISO 26262
- Experience creating safety-critical software (ISO 26262, ASIL B)
- Test automation experience using Python/Robot Framework

Experience with Automotive standards
- Design and implementation of software in a new scalable automotive platform
- Work with cross-functional teams to derive requirements given by use cases and feature listings
- Utilize diagnostic services (UDS) on Ethernet, CAN and LIN for fault reporting, diagnostic data communication and diagnostic routines

Take part and assist in developing test cases to verify and validate diagnostic functions on ECU integration and system integration level

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation โ making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
Weโre looking for a true legend โ someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. Youโll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. Itโs your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
