MangoBoost, Inc.
- MangoBoost is a start-up company that develops groundbreaking new data processing units (DPUs). MangoBoost’s novel DPUs can be customized and flexibly integrated into server systems to address myriad system overheads and make other devices (such as SSDs, GPUs, NICs, etc.) smarter. As a result, MangoBoost DPU offers a dramatic boost in system efficiency, performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. MangoBoost leverages ~10 years of prior world-leading research done in academia, which has produced extensive full-system patent-pending prototypes published at premier conferences in computer architecture and systems areas (for example ISCA and OSDI). MangoBoost has received a $10M seed fund in 2022 and a $55M Series A fund in 2023 and is actively growing in the US and Korea.

Responsibilities & Opportunities
Develop the software stack necessary for efficiently operating and managing DPU cards
- Develop device drivers for RTOS and bare-metal environments (I2C, SMBus communication I/F, and custom-designed IPs)
- Design control logic and develop APIs for external ICs (sensor, power, EEPRom, Flash)
- Design and develop protocol stacks and APIs for BMC communication (standard protocols such as PLDM, MCTP)
- Design and develop protocol stacks and APIs for on-board communication (in-house protocol)
- Develop software stacks for managing PCIe card products (production, runtime, and diagnostics)
- Develop and optimize bootloader and firmware update functionalities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in embedded product development (including internships, research projects, or work experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience contributing to at least three of the responsibilities listed above and successfully bringing a product to mass production
- Hands-on experience with SoC and FPGA-based development (RTOS, Bare-metal, Linux)
- Experience developing products related to PCIe, Ethernet, or NVMe

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
