We are hiring for a Software Engineer – Embedded Aerospace Systems to support the development of high-assurance, safety-critical military avionics software for a US Remote opportunity.

Location: US Remote

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop embedded software compliant with DO-178C DAL A/B safety standards.
  • Support the complete software development lifecycle from requirements through certification.
  • Design, implement, debug, and test embedded C/C++ software for aerospace platforms.
  • Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability using IBM DOORS and configuration management tools.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, software verification, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, verification, and certification teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
Required Skills
  • Strong Embedded C/C++ programming experience.
  • Experience with DO-178C (DAL A/B) safety-critical software development.
  • Knowledge of RTOS such as VxWorks, Integrity, QNX, RTEMS, or FreeRTOS.
  • Experience with IBM DOORS, Git/SVN/ClearCase, and software configuration management.
  • Understanding of avionics communication protocols such as ARINC-429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, SPI, UART, or I2C.
  • Experience with software verification, validation, and certification activities.
