TXT E‑Tech
, part of
TXT Group
, is looking for an
Avionics Engineer
to join the
Aerospace & Aviation
team.
The selected candidate will work in a hybrid role, contributing both to
System Engineering
activities (obsolescence management and re‑engineering of avionics subsystems) and to
embedded development
(support to real-time hardware and software for onboard computers).
This role is ideal for someone who wants to combine a system-level perspective with hands-on technical contribution in embedded architectures and HW/SW integration.
Main Activities
-
Analyze and evaluate hardware obsolescence scenarios for avionics devices, taking into account technical, logistic, and manufacturing aspects (e.g., single-source suppliers, critical parts, VLLTI components);
-
Propose alternative technical solutions through formal engineering documentation (design changes, equivalent replacements, retrofits) and support the definition/update of requirements and specifications;
-
Support the development, validation, and qualification of proposed solutions in accordance with avionics technical and regulatory requirements;
-
Contribute to the analysis/definition of signal acquisition chains (conditioning, filtering, ADC/DAC conversion), with attention to physical constraints (noise, bandwidth, dynamics, anti-aliasing);
-
Collaborate with HW/SW/mechanical teams to ensure coherent integration of the subsystem within the overall avionics system (design reviews);
-
Participate in functional, environmental, and integration testing, contributing to traceability and technical reporting.
Required Technical Skills
-
Strong foundations in analog and digital electronics;
-
Understanding of signal acquisition and processing principles at chain level (conditioning, filtering, conversion, anti-aliasing, noise);
-
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (schematics, block diagrams, specifications) and reason about physical/operational constraints;
-
Basic knowledge of computer architecture and embedded systems (registers, peripherals, buses), with conceptual understanding of I/O management methods (interrupt/polling/task) and real-time determinism;
-
Strong attitude for technical documentation writing in regulated contexts and systemic engineering approaches.
Optional Technical Skills
-
Familiarity with advanced acquisition management concepts (DMA, circular buffers, timestamping, latency/jitter, context switching);
-
Knowledge (even theoretical) of real-time systems/RTOS and scheduling mechanisms;
-
Academic or laboratory experience in measurements, testing, electronic debugging, and validation (instrumentation, functional tests);
-
Familiarity with typical digital interfaces and protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet);
-
Experience with environmental testing (vibration, shock, EMI, extreme temperatures, corrosion) and/or mechanical integration/materials;
-
Knowledge of low-level C/C++ programming or ability to read code to support analysis.
Required Education
Degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or related fields.
