Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Assistant Professor- Embedded Design to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in embedded systems, microcontrollers, IoT, and real-time programming, along with a passion for teaching and mentoring students. You will play a key role in delivering industry-relevant education through hands-on learning and practical projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions on Embedded Systems and related subjects.
  • Teach topics including Embedded C, C++, Microcontrollers, Microprocessors, RTOS, Embedded Linux, Device Drivers, and IoT.
  • Conduct practical sessions using STM32, ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ARM-based development platforms.
  • Mentor students on academic projects, capstone projects, hackathons, research initiatives, and innovation challenges.
  • Develop course content, laboratory exercises, assessments, and learning resources aligned with industry needs.
  • Keep the curriculum updated with the latest advancements in Embedded Systems and IoT.
  • Prepare students for internships and placements through technical mentoring and career guidance.
  • Participate in curriculum development, faculty development programs, workshops, and academic activities.
Required Skills
  • Strong programming skills in Embedded C and C++
  • Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex, STM32, AVR, PIC, ESP32, Arduino, and Raspberry Pi
  • Good understanding of RTOS (FreeRTOS preferred)
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and USB
  • Experience with sensor interfacing, embedded hardware debugging, and IoT applications
  • Familiarity with Embedded Linux and Device Driver development is an added advantage
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills
Education
  • M.Tech or Ph.D. in Embedded Systems, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior teaching, training, or relevant industry experience in Embedded Systems.
  • Experience in curriculum development, applied research, or publishing technical papers is an advantage.
  • Industry certifications in Embedded Systems or IoT are a plus.
