Android Framework Embedded Engineer

About Position:

We are looking for a highly experienced Android Framework Engineer with deep expertise in Android OS internals and embedded system development. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in customizing Android platform components, working across OS layers, and enabling integration on hardware platforms.

What You'll Do:

• Lead design and delivery of a program module; set code standards and module architecture
• Scope new workstreams; translate vague executive asks into concrete engineering plans
• Drive AIDLC adoption and measure Copilot / Speckit ROI on the module
• Lead design and PR reviews; mentor L1/L2 FDEs
• Own the client technical relationship at workstream/module level• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the Java ecosystem and cloud computing.
• Deep Java/Spring ecosystem; event-driven architecture with Kafka
• GCP (GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub); mainframe↔Java coexistence patterns
• Performance, resiliency, and regulatory-grade determinism

Expertise You'll Bring:

• You bring deep technical expertise in Android internals, embedded systems, and low-level system programming .
• Strong understanding of Android Framework Internals and AOSP architecture
• Hands-on experience in Android Framework development and customization
• Expertise in Java/Kotlin programming for Android systems
• Experience working with Android SDK, NDK, JNI, and C/C++
• Strong knowledge of embedded systems and hardware interaction
• Experience with Android platform tools and development lifecycle
• Proven experience in porting and integrating Android framework on hardware platforms
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills for system-level issues
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems and OS fundamentals
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electronics, or related field
