Title – Lead Analog Layout Engineer

Location: Hyderabad

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Layout Engineer with strong expertise in analog/mixed‑signal (AMS) layout, capable of independently driving complex block and top-level deliveries. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on technical depth along with the ability to guide, mentor, and manage small layout teams. This is not a TSMC‑specific requirement; experience in TSMC or lower‑node processes is not mandatory .

Key Responsibilities

• Own and execute complex AMS/analog layout blocks and top-level integration with minimal supervision.
• Lead and mentor a small team of layout engineers—assist with planning, reviews, and technical guidance.
• Work with technical leads on hierarchical/custom layout strategy, floorplanning, and execution.
• Ensure quality, convergence, and schedule adherence across assigned blocks and team deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with design, verification, physical design, and methodology teams.
• Review and validate constraints, checks, and flows as per Micron layout methodology.
• Drive best practices, design reusability, and layout efficiency improvements.
• Take ownership of end‑to‑end execution, from planning through final sign‑off (DRC/LVS/ANT/DFM).

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory

• 5–10 years of hands‑on experience in AMS/Analog layout engineering.
• Proven expertise in:
• Cadence Virtuoso & Virtuoso-XL
• Cadence Layout Suite (XL/GXL)
• Strong experience working on larger block-level and top hierarchical designs, not just leaf cells.
• Demonstrated experience in independent planning, execution, and closure of complex layout blocks.
• Ability to lead, review, and guide junior team members.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Hyderabad.

Good to Have

• Prior experience leading or managing a team of layout engineers.
• Familiarity with Micron flows and methodology (preferred but not mandatory).
• Exposure to automation, scripting, or flow optimization is a plus.
• Experience in project planning, effort estimation, and risk management.
