Texas Instruments is seeking an Analog Design Manager. In this role, you will direct and guide the activities of a research or technical design function responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating analog and mixed signal electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. You may also evaluate final results of research and development projects to assure accomplishment of technical objectives. In addition, job functions include preparing and presenting reports outlining the outcome of technical projects and making recommendations for actions necessary to achieve desired results. As an Analog Design Manager, you may also select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
We are looking for an experienced Design Manager to lead our Wide VIN Bucks design team focused on high-performance DC-DC buck regulators for industrial and automotive applications.
The team owns the charter for all buck converters with input voltages above 60V and consists of 15 engineers. This role requires a strong technical leader who can drive execution across multiple parallel projects while mentoring and guiding a young, high-potential team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive design execution for multiple Wide VIN buck regulator projects from concept to production
- Provide deep technical leadership in switching regulators, especially buck converters
- Mentor and develop engineers through hands-on technical guidance, design reviews, and architectural direction
- Collaborate closely with systems and cross-functional teams to define competitive product specifications and differentiated solutions
- Drive innovation, product quality, execution excellence, and first-pass silicon success
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality designs aligned with business and product goals
- Build a strong product-first and customer-focused engineering culture
Requirements
- Strong experience in analog/power management IC design with deep expertise in switching regulators and buck converters
- Proven track record of leading high-performing design teams and delivering complex products to market
- Strong execution mindset with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
- Experience working across systems, architecture, verification, layout, validation, and product engineering teams
- Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent
- Experience in industrial and/or automotive power products is highly desirable
