Analog Electronics, PCB & Mixed-Signal Hardware Engineer

Nexatom — Bengaluru (Onsite)

We are building advanced deep-tech systems spanning photonics, medical instrumentation, FPGA-based electronics, scientific hardware, precision control systems, and high-performance embedded platforms.

We are looking for an Analog Electronics, PCB & Mixed-Signal Hardware Engineer who can design high-performance custom electronic systems ranging from ultra-low-noise precision circuits to high-speed mixed-signal acquisition hardware.

This role involves deep work across analog electronics, power electronics, mixed-signal PCB design, FPGA interfacing, signal integrity, precision measurement systems, and scientific instrumentation.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable designing complete systems end-to-end — from circuit architecture and simulation to PCB layout, bring-up, debugging, characterization, and product integration.



Responsibilities

  • Design ultra-low-noise analog and mixed-signal electronic systems
  • Develop:

Low-noise current sources and sinks

Precision voltage/current control systems

High-current power stages

High-voltage precision driver systems

Wide-bandwidth analog drivers

Precision temperature control electronics

Custom SMPS and power conversion systems

Low-noise analog front ends

Precision measurement and acquisition systems

High-speed signal-conditioning circuits

  • Design analog front ends and signal-conditioning stages for:

High-speed ADCs and DACs

Comparators

Timing systems

Sensors and detectors

  • Integrate high-speed mixed-signal converters with FPGA systems using JESD204B and related interfaces
  • Design high-speed multilayer PCBs for analog, mixed-signal, and power electronics systems
  • Create:

Schematics

PCB layouts

Manufacturing outputs

BOMs

Assembly and bring-up documentation

  • Work on:

Signal integrity

Power integrity

Grounding and shielding

EMI/EMC reduction

Thermal management

Low-noise PCB layout techniques

  • Coordinate with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors
  • Perform simulation, characterization, debugging, and validation of electronic systems
  • Work closely with FPGA, embedded, optics, mechanical, and software teams for complete system integration
  • Assist in prototype bring-up, testing, calibration, and productization



Required Skills

  • 0–3 years of experience in analog/mixed-signal electronics and PCB design
  • Strong understanding of:

Analog circuit design

Power electronics

Feedback and control systems

Noise analysis

Signal integrity

High-speed digital interfacing

  • Experience designing:

Precision amplifiers

Low-noise regulators

Power conversion systems

Analog front ends

Sensor interfaces

Precision control electronics

  • Strong PCB design experience using tools such as:

Altium Designer

KiCad

Or similar EDA platforms

  • Experience with:

Multilayer PCB design

High-speed layout

Controlled impedance routing

Differential pair routing

Ground/power plane design

Thermal considerations

DFM/DFT practices

  • Familiarity with JESD204B-based ADC/DAC interfacing concepts
  • Understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly workflows
  • Hands-on debugging using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and related lab equipment
  • Ability to independently prototype, debug, and iterate hardware systems



Good to Have

  • Experience with photonics, laser systems, or scientific instrumentation
  • Exposure to FPGA-based systems
  • Familiarity with:

Differential signaling

LVDS/CML

Clock distribution systems

Low-jitter design

  • Experience with SPICE simulations
  • Understanding of ADC/DAC clocking and synchronization systems
  • Exposure to medical instrumentation or precision measurement systems
  • Basic embedded systems exposure
