Aerial Mapping Compiler
to join our team.
The Aerial Mapping Compiler is responsible for processing, compiling, and delivering high-quality geospatial products from UAV/drone, manned aerial imagery, and LiDAR datasets. This role transforms raw imagery and point cloud data into accurate, client-ready mapping deliverables, supporting survey, engineering, environmental, and infrastructure projects while ensuring data accuracy, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Data Processing, Compilation & QA/QC

Process and compile data from UAV/drone, manned aerial, imagery, and airborne LiDAR platforms

Develop topographic mapping, planimetric features, contours, breaklines, utilities, transportation features, structures, CAD surfaces, and GIS deliverables

Perform QA/QC against project specifications, survey control, ground truth data, and geospatial accuracy requirements

Identify and correct processing errors, distortions, data gaps, and inconsistencies before delivery
Software, Technology & Project Delivery

Use tools such as Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, RealityCapture, Global Mapper, ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Trimble Inpho, DAT/EM Summit Evolution, and TopoDOT

Coordinate with surveyors, drone pilots, and aerial acquisition teams to define data requirements and delivery expectations

Prepare deliverables such as orthophotos, CAD surfaces, GIS datasets, reports, and compiled mapping products

Support workflow optimization and emerging aerial mapping, drone, LiDAR, and reality capture technologies
Required Qualifications
-
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Surveying, GIS, Geography, or related field
-
2–5+ years of experience in aerial mapping, photogrammetry, drone data processing, LiDAR, or geospatial production

Experience with UAV/drone and/or traditional aerial mapping datasets and workflows

Strong understanding of coordinate systems, ground control, GCP workflows, and geospatial accuracy principles
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with RTK/PPK drone workflows, airborne LiDAR processing, manned aerial mapping, and ASPRS accuracy standards

FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification or exposure to flight planning and aerial acquisition coordination

Experience with workflow automation using Python, ModelBuilder, FME, AutoLISP, or similar tools

Ability to interpret engineering, surveying, transportation, and mapping standards
