As an Advanced Embedded Software Engineer at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the development of next-generation embedded systems that power our Industrial Automation business within the Process Solutions group. Your day-to-day work will involve full lifecycle software development, from concept and architecture through implementation, validation, and field support. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, including systems, hardware, and test engineers, to bring innovative solutions from concept to production. You will report directly to our Software Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Fort Washington, PA location on a hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for industrial safety and automation systems using C/C++
• Define and document software requirements and architecture in collaboration with systems and hardware engineering teams
• Implement real-time applications on embedded platforms, including microcontroller-based systems
• Integrate software with hardware components, sensors, and communication interfaces (e.g., TCP/IP)
• Support product testing at all levels: unit, integration, and system; contribute to verification and validation for functional safety
• Troubleshoot field issues and provide support for root cause analysis and resolution
• Participate in configuration management and version control processes to ensure code quality and traceability
• Work collaboratively within Agile/SCRUM teams to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality software
• Continuously apply analytical thinking and problem-solving to optimize system performance and software reliability
