JOB DESCRIPTION
Product Assurance & Certification engineering is a great position to showcase your Technical, Assurance, Certification and Program leadership abilities. This position is to provide Product Assurance & Certification engineering coverage for software development of various Aerospace Product Groups. Responsibilities will include performing PDQA/TSOS audits, reviewing Product Assurance & Certification documents, assessing problem descriptions, tracking issues, coordinating with engineering and other support groups, and working with Applications, the OEMs, and the Product Assurance & Certification Authorities to resolve issues.
The successful candidate will provide support to various projects for Product Assurance & Certification performing the following:

Review and approve software/hardware related documents and processes in accordance with applicable aerospace regulations and standards.

Provide Product Assurance & Certification guidance to product groups for regulatory compliance in the software area.

Perform and/or support software/hardware reviews for compliance with regulations, special conditions and/or contractual obligations.

Effectively represent the organization in Product Assurance & Certification discussions with customers and Regulatory authorities.

Ready to play the PDQA / Certification Specialist global role for the assigned programs by conducting the required audits & reviews.

Planning and coordinating the PDQA / Certification activities across the sites along with the PE.

Auditing teams to ensure COE’s compliance with Honeywell QMS & APOL-92 (AS9100/CMMI) standards.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelors/ Master’s degree in Aerospace engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Science Engineering.

6+ years of end to end working experience in the field of software, hardware and/or aerospace engineering.

Good understanding of Software/Hardware Requirements, Design, Coding, V&V activities and RTCA DO178/DO-254 related process.

Knowledge of industry guidance standards such as ARP 4754, ARP 4761, DO-160, DO-178B/C, and DO-254.

Good understanding of at least one programming language like, C, C++, Ada95, Verilog, VHDL or Python.

Knowledge on Aerospace Product Assurance & Certification guidance of FAA or any other safety related regulations.

A good command on spoken and written English language is required along with excellent presentation skills.
Additional Qualifications
-
Strong familiarity with aircraft operations and avionics systems is required.

Familiarity with avionics systems, product hardware, software, and Product Assurance & Certification aspects.

Knowledge of Aerospace quality practices including regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., CMMI, AS9100, FAA, EASA and Government Regulations).

Applicant shall have strong interpersonal, communication, teaming, customer interaction and personal leadership abilities, and the ability to handle multiple activities/priorities effectively.

Preferred candidates will be action oriented, results driven, have high energy, be a self starter, innovative, influential with peers and customers, and demonstrate critical thinking skills to drive to root cause.

Applicant must be able to work with Engineers, Program Managers, Customers, and Certification Authorities, striving to build positive working relationships with the stakeholders.

Preferred candidates to have prior certification liaison experience, working relationship with the Certification Authorities, and a broad knowledge of avionics products.
