About the Opportunity:
Join our innovative team to apply your expertise and advance ASIC verification to the next level at Ericsson. We specialize in top-level verification of cutting-edge ASICs that power complex, high-performance systems. Integrated multi-chip modules are replacing monolithic solutions. Our designs feature hundreds of processor cores, DSPs, ARM cores, tailored hardware accelerator IPs, and numerous high-speed interfaces, including Ethernet, CPRI, and PCIe.
As an SoC Verification Engineer, you will join a team tackling some of the industry’s most challenging verification tasks, ensuring our ASICs meet high standards for performance, functionality, and security.
You will play a pivotal role in developing software-driven tests used in CI regressions across four platforms: SystemC/TLM simulation, RTL simulation, hardware emulation, and, ultimately, silicon.
What you will do:
-
Verify ingress and egress Ethernet traffic, involving DSPs, MCUs, switches, security, SerDes, and related components.
-
Prepare and configure designs to run in hardware emulators, and maintain existing emulator platforms.
-
SoC-level test development with opportunities to specialize in specific areas.
-
Contribute to software-driven tests written in C.
-
Debug failing test cases using the SystemC/TLM platform, RTL simulation, or hardware emulation, depending on the scenario.
-
Help keep tests clean in the CI regression suite across all four platforms.
-
Occasional development of sequences for UVM VIPs.
-
Work with gate-level simulation (GLS), including timing simulations.
Skills you bring:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
-
Proficiency in various verification methodologies such as UVM (Universal Verification Methodology), System Verilog, and VHDL
-
Strong C programming skills targeted at ASICs or related embedded software
-
Solid RTL debugging skills in SystemVerilog, VHDL, or comparable debugging experience
-
Experience with simulation tools like VCS, Xcelium or Questa for running and debugging verification tests.
-
Experience with emulation tools like Veloce, Palladium, or FPGA prototyping for faster verification and system-level testing.
-
Knowledge of common Ethernet components such as MAC, MACsec, PCS, and SerDes.
Desirable knowledge and experience:
-
UPF and low-power verification.
-
GLS with timing.
-
XPROP verification.
Soft skills:
-
An open, inclusive mindset that embraces diversity in culture, nationality, and gender identity.
-
A collaborative approach focused on team productivity and mutual growth.
-
A strong drive for innovation with a proactive interest in refining verification methodologies.
-
Clear communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination across diverse teams.
