Technical Lead – Embedded Systems

We are looking for an experienced Architect / Technical Lead to drive the end-to-end architecture of an innovative In-Cab AI Assistant Platform for heavy equipment. This role will lead the design of embedded AI solutions integrating edge compute, voice interfaces, machine connectivity, diagnostics, OTA updates, and intelligent assistant capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Define and lead system architecture across embedded compute, displays, audio, machine interfaces, AI assistant services, OTA, logging, and diagnostics.

✅ Provide technical leadership throughout design, development, integration, testing, and deployment.

✅ Drive architecture decisions while ensuring compliance with safety, security, and performance requirements.

✅ Lead machine integration, AI assistant behavior, and non-functional requirements including latency, reliability, boot time, and offline operation.

✅ Create architecture documentation, interface specifications, and technical design artifacts.

✅ Support troubleshooting, supplier collaboration, and technical risk mitigation.

Required Skills

✔ 8+ years of experience in Embedded Systems, Software Engineering, Systems Architecture, or Technical Leadership.

✔ Strong expertise in Linux-based embedded systems.

✔ Hands-on experience with C/C++ and Python.

✔ Experience with hardware-software integration, edge computing, and connected devices.

✔ Knowledge of CAN, J1939, CDL, or similar machine/vehicle communication protocols.

✔ Experience with OTA updates, diagnostics, telemetry, logging, and device management.

✔ Familiarity with AI-enabled applications, RAG, or intelligent assistant platforms.

✔ Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

⭐ NVIDIA Orin / Jetson or similar Edge AI platforms.

⭐ Voice technologies (ASR, TTS) and in-cab audio systems.

⭐ HMI development for industrial, automotive, or heavy equipment applications.

⭐ Heavy Equipment, Industrial IoT, Robotics, Automotive, or Connected Machinery experience.

⭐ Embedded cybersecurity architecture and connected product security.

⭐ Aftermarket/Retrofit product development experience.

⭐ Experience working with technical documentation, service manuals, and fault diagnostics data.
