System Hardware Engineer – AIsight, Taiwan

Responsibilities

• Design system architecture of hardware platforms
• Formulate the system requirements and validation criteria
• Collaborate with SW and QA team to validate EVKs and prototypes
• Analyze systems from block to component level.
• Identify weaknesses and suggest fixes and improvements.
• Select and evaluate components in regards to power, reliability, cost, and other factors
• Analyze inter-component interfaces and their effect on system performance
• Support customers with their hardware design and component selection

English Requirements

• Proficient in both written and spoken English

Required Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience

Required Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in EE (or a similar major)

Required Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in digital and analog circuits
• 2+ years of experience with embedded systems
• Schematics capture with any CAD
• Able to evaluate embedded cores (including processors) in terms of peripherals and connectivity (SoC, MCU, or DSP)
• Solid understanding of frequently used digital interfaces, including I2C, SPI, and MIPI.
• Solid understanding of different types of PMICs and system level power distribution strategies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with battery powered products
• Experience with low-power components and devices
• Familiarity with Linux OS and development tools
• Experience with imaging systems, lenses, detectors and image evaluation
• Some background knowledges in EMC and hardware reliability
• Experience with embedded SW development
