Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Embedded Software Engineer to lead customer-facing technical engagements while driving customization and innovation across our embedded software platform.


This role combines deep embedded engineering expertise with strong customer interaction and solution delivery capabilities. You will serve as the technical bridge between internal engineering teams, customers, partners, and channel organizations—translating complex business requirements into scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise across embedded systems, cloud technologies, backend and frontend development, API architecture, and customer solution delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

Customer Collaboration & Developer Relations.

  • Serve as the primary technical interf ace for customers, partners, and indirect channel teams.
  • Host technical discussions, requirement‑gathering sessions, and architecture reviews directly with customers.
  • Prov ide developer sup port, guidance, and best practices for integration and implementation.
  • Represent the embedded team in developer‑facing demos, product enablement, and partner technical workshops.
  • Translate customer needs into actionable engineering tasks, ensuring platform capabilities align with business goals.

Platform Customization & Embedded Engineering

  • Lead the design and implementation of custom features, enhancements, and integrations across our embedded platform.
  • Develop application‑layer components and service extensions us ing Py th on, Dj ango, and REST‑based APIs.
  • Build and integrate customer‑facing portal/UI components in R eact.
  • Lever age AWS serv ices to build scalable, cloud-backed integrations that support embedded workloads.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and systems engineering teams to ensure software is optimized for target devi ces.

Architecture, API & Systems Integration

  • Own the documentation and development of APIs, SDKs, and interface design documents (ID
  • Ds).Architect and guide scalable embedded-to-cloud workflows for customer implementations.
  • Ensure seamless integration between on‑device components, microservices, and customer systems.
  • Technical Troubleshooting & Tier‑3 Support
  • Diagnose and resolve complex field issues involving embedded software, connectivity, platform services, and integrations.
  • Prov ide senior‑level technical escalation sup port for customers and internal teams.
  • Lead root‑cause analysis and drive long‑term corrective improvements across the platform.

Project Delivery & Leadership

  • Lead customer‑specific development initiatives from ideation through deployment.
  • Own timelines, deliverables, and technical direction for embedded customization projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and influence cross‑team engineering best practices.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Expertise in P ython, with experience building backend services or integration layers (Django strongly preferred).
  • Proficiency in React for developing customer‑facing interfaces or partner tools.
  • Experience wit h AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, or related services).
  • Strong experience with embedded systems development (C/C++ preferred but not required for all workstreams).
  • Experience with API design, interface documentation, and integration workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including customers and indirect channel partners.
  • Proven succes s in customer-facing engine ering, developer support, or solutions engineering roles.
  • Strong understanding of hardware/software interactions, debugging, and systems‑level problem resolution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experien ce in Developer Rel ations, technical evangelism, or technical account management.
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux, RTOS environments, or firmware–cloud interaction patators.
  • Experience suppo rting indirect channel pa rtners, VARs, ISVs, or system integrterns.
  • Background in pre‑sales engineering, partner enablement, or customer‑led solution design.
