The Role

Zeno is looking for a highly skilled SDET with strong programming expertise in Python and Shell scripting to design, build, and maintain scalable test automation including Manual testing. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on improving product quality through robust automation, deep system understanding, and tight integration with development workflows.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze product requirements and create test cases for functional and regression testing
• Perform manual testing (functional, regression, integration, and UAT support)
• Strong hands-on experience in Python programming for test automation
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Playwright , Appium, pytest
• Perform functional and regression testing of REST/HTTP APIs
• Build automated test suites for APIs, backend services, mobile applications, and embedded systems.
• Perform manual testing on hardware devices and systems
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster releases.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is embedded early in the development lifecycle.
• Drive test coverage across unit, integration, regression, and system levels.
• Perform root cause analysis for defects and contribute to long-term quality improvements.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt modern testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies.

What You Bring

• 2-6 years of experience in Software Testing / SDET roles.
• Strong programming skills in Python and working knowledge of Shell scripting (Bash).
• Hands-on experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience testing REST APIs, backend systems, and/or mobile applications.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, debugging, and system design basics.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, Git, and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
• Handle basic hardware troubleshooting & testing

Good to Have

• Experience with embedded systems testing or hardware-software integration.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Background in Automotive, EV, Telecom, or Industrial domains.
• ISTQB or equivalent certification.
