We are looking for a Quantum Software Engineer.

As a Quantum Software Engineer , you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining hardware-aware software for Quobly quantum computing systems.


Key responsibilities:

  • You will optimize our pulse-level simulation framework to support accurate gate design and hardware development.
  • You will develop new features and capabilities in our simulator stack based on the latest innovations from the quantum information and quantum error correction teams.
  • You will contribute to software quality through comprehensive testing, documentation, and code review.
  • You will drive technical discussions and collaborations across teams to shape the evolution of our quantum software stack.

You Are Special Because:

- You hold a PhD in Physics (Condensed Matter / AMO), Quantum Information, or a closely related field.

- You have a strong background in (open) quantum systems, and/or semiconductor spin physics.

- You have proven software engineering skills (Python, C++, or similar) with experience in scientific computing and numerical optimization.

- You have experience translating theoretical methods into efficient, maintainable code.

- You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex physical concepts to engineers and translate experimental feedback into theory refinements and code updates.


Nice to have:

- Experience with quantum software frameworks such as Qiskit, QuTiP, or equivalent.

- Proven track record of open-source contributions, or industrial R&D projects.
