Job Description: Senior Quantum Engineer

About the Role :

As a Senior Quantum Engineer at amPICQ, you are responsible for working in collaboration with the team to develop, characterize and deliver Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) based products for quantum applications like Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).

Qualifications :

·       PhD or Master’s from a top-tier college in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related field with demonstrated research experience in quantum technologies

Requirements:

Theoretical:

·       Strong knowledge of Quantum Mechanics

·       Experience in analysing and developing security proofs of quantum protocols

·       Experience in Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), quantum communications, quantum networking or related technologies

·       Experience in quantum programming with IBM QISKIT or Pennylane is a plus

·       Strong programming and numerical analysis skills

Experimental:

·       Experience in working with single photon detectors, optical alignment and control electronics

·       Experience in characterization of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and quantum optical systems
