Location : Northampton, MA (100% Onsite)

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior PCB Layout Engineer with strong Altium Designer expertise and RF design experience to support the development of complex multilayer PCB designs. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on PCB layout, mixed-signal integration, RF power amplifier applications, and manufacturing support.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing high-performance multilayer boards and working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design integrity, compliance, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and optimize multilayer PCB layouts for performance, manufacturability, and compliance
• Work closely with hardware and RF engineers to integrate mixed-signal and RF designs into PCB layouts
• Develop PCB floorplans, component placement strategies, routing, and BOMs
• Generate manufacturing drawings, artwork files, Gerbers, and electronic PCB documentation
• Support PCB integration, testing, and manufacturability improvements
• Coordinate with fabrication and assembly vendors using DFM and DFA principles
• Perform design rule checks (DRC) and layout verification activities
• Support design reviews and implement layout improvements as required
• Create and maintain 2D manufacturing drawings and documentation packages
Required Qualifications
• Strong PCB design and layout experience
• Proficiency with Altium Designer
• Experience designing multilayer PCBs (8-layer or higher preferred)
• Experience creating manufacturing drawings and PCB documentation
• Knowledge of mixed-signal PCB layout techniques
• Experience supporting PCB manufacturing and assembly processes
• Strong understanding of DFM and DFA principles
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate directly with engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
• RF power pallet and RF amplifier design experience
• Experience with high-speed or RF PCB layouts
• Experience supporting PCB integration and troubleshooting activities
• Familiarity with EMC/EMI considerations in PCB design
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and PCB fabricators
