Senior Optical-Electronic Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Optical-Electronic Engineer (PhD) to join an innovative technology company in Silicon Valley. This role combines technical leadership, customer engagement, and hands-on engineering work in advanced optical-electronic systems, custom test platforms, and high-speed communication technologies.

• Lead optical-electronic and custom test system projects from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, hardware, and software engineering.
• Serve as a technical interface with key customers and support technical discussions.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical and/or optical systems.
• Support system integration, validation, and performance improvement.
• Contribute to R&D efforts in high-speed communication and optoelectronic technologies.

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or related fields.
• Strong expertise in either:
• Analog/Digital Circuit Design, or
• Optical / Opto-Electronic System Design
• Familiarity with SPI, USB, or other communication protocols.
• Strong problem-solving and project leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Experience across both electrical and optical domains.
• Background in optical communication, photonics, or optoelectronics.
• Experience with custom test systems and customer-facing projects.
