Role Summary: We are looking for a hands-on Senior IoT Hardware & Embedded Systems Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy railway technology products involving sensors, embedded electronics, communication modules, rugged field hardware, and real-time monitoring systems.

The candidate will work on railway-focused IoT and safety products involving coach-based monitoring, GPS-based tracking, sensor-driven alerts, device-to-cloud communication, and field-ready embedded systems.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Development

Design and develop embedded hardware for railway and industrial IoT products.

Select suitable microcontrollers, sensors, communication modules, power supplies, connectors, enclosures, and protection components.

Work with ESP32, STM32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or industrial-grade microcontroller platforms.

Design sensor input circuits for pressure, temperature, vibration, current, voltage, distance, switch input, relay input, and digital signals.

Prepare hardware architecture, circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and BOM.

Coordinate with PCB designers or vendors for PCB layout, fabrication, assembly, and debugging.

Firmware Development

Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for sensor reading, data processing, alert logic, communication.

Implement device logic for event detection, threshold-based alerts, status monitoring, and local decision-making.

Work on GSM/4G, GPS, RF, Wi-Fi, BLE, LoRa, or other communication modules as required.

Implement MQTT, HTTP API, TCP/IP, or other data transmission protocols.

Field Testing & Deployment

Support field installation, device testing, calibration, and troubleshooting.

Work with field teams to understand wiring, mounting, power supply, and installation constraints.

Debug sensor fluctuation, communication failure, power issues, false alerts.

Prepare test reports, installation notes, field observation reports, and improvement plans.

Coordinate with software/backend/mobile app teams for device data integration.

Required Skills

ESP32 / STM32 / Arduino / Raspberry Pi / industrial microcontrollers.

Embedded C / C++.

Sensor interfacing and signal conditioning.

GSM/4G, GPS, MQTT, HTTP API.

PCB debugging and circuit testing.

Power supply design basics: DC-DC converters, buck modules, reverse polarity protection, surge protection, fuse/MCB protection.

Basic understanding of rugged hardware, enclosures, connectors, and field wiring.

Ability to independently build prototypes and test them in real-world conditions.
