Job Description

About Cooler Master

Cooler Master is a global leader in PC components, gaming peripherals, and thermal solutions. We are committed to developing innovative and high-performance products that meet the needs of gamers, creators, PC enthusiasts, and professional users worldwide.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our Power Supply team and support the development of high-wattage digital power supply products.

This role will be responsible for digital control firmware development for advanced ATX power supplies, covering control algorithm implementation, system integration, debugging, validation, and mass production support. The engineer will work closely with hardware engineers, ODM partners, and chipset vendors, including Infineon, to develop high-efficiency and high-reliability power supply solutions.

The position will focus on applying the Infineon PSoC MCU platform to high-end ATX power supply projects, including 1600W and 80 PLUS Titanium-level products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop digital control firmware for high-wattage power supply products

• Implement digital power control functions, including PFC control, LLC / DC-DC control, and synchronous rectification control

• Design and implement control algorithms, including voltage loop, current loop, and compensation design

• Convert analog control models into digital control architecture and complete system tuning

• Conduct control loop design, stability analysis, transient response optimization, and light-load efficiency improvement

• Develop firmware based on the Infineon PSoC MCU platform for digital power control applications

• Work with MCU peripherals such as PWM, ADC, Comparator, Timer, and interrupt control for real-time system operation

• Collaborate with Infineon technical teams on platform development, issue debugging, and technical problem solving

• Work closely with hardware engineers on system bring-up, tuning, validation, and debugging

• Analyze and resolve system-level issues, including loop instability, switching abnormalities, waveform issues, EMI, noise interference, and protection behavior

• Lead root cause analysis and define corrective actions for firmware and system-related issues

• Implement and maintain communication interfaces such as PMBus and I²C

• Develop system functions including telemetry, voltage / current / power monitoring, and protection mechanisms such as OVP, UVP, OCP, SCP, and OTP

• Support integration with host systems, GUI tools, and USB-related interfaces

• Collaborate with ODM partners on firmware integration, system validation, design review, and mass production readiness

• Support production introduction, issue analysis, and continuous improvement during the product lifecycle

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in firmware development, preferably in power supply, digital power control, power electronics, or related industries

• Strong experience with MCU or DSP-based firmware development for real-time control applications

• Familiar with digital power control, control loop design, PFC, LLC, DC-DC, or synchronous rectification applications

• Experience with Infineon PSoC MCU platform is highly preferred

• Familiar with PWM, ADC, Comparator, Timer, interrupt handling, and embedded system debugging

• Experience with PMBus, I²C, telemetry, protection logic, or host / GUI integration

• Able to perform system-level debugging, waveform analysis, root cause analysis, and issue resolution

• Experience working with hardware engineers, ODM partners, chipset vendors, or manufacturing teams

• Strong understanding of power supply development, validation, and mass production processes

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to solve complex technical issues independently

• Intermediate English communication skills or above

Preferred Experience

• Experience with high-wattage ATX power supply products

• Experience with 80 PLUS Titanium-level power supply development

• Experience working with Infineon technical teams or similar semiconductor vendors

• Experience supporting ODM development and mass production introduction
