Job Description

We are supporting one of our partner companies in Türkiye's biomedical technology ecosystem in hiring an experienced Senior Embedded Systems Lead.

This role sits at the intersection of embedded firmware, electronics design, hardware/software integration, and product development for regulated biomedical devices. The ideal candidate is not only a strong hands-on engineer, but also someone who can coordinate firmware work, collaborate closely with electronics and mechanical teams, and help bring reliable device software from prototype to production.

The position is based in Istanbul and requires regular on-site collaboration. Candidates already based in Istanbul, especially on the Anatolian side, will have a practical advantage.

Tasks

Lead and contribute hands-on to embedded firmware development for biomedical / electro-mechanical device platforms.

Develop reliable firmware in C/C++ for ARM Cortex-M based microcontrollers, especially STM32-class platforms.

Coordinate firmware tasks across requirements, architecture, implementation, debugging, integration, and release.

Work closely with electronics, hardware, mechanical, UI/software, quality, and product teams.

Support hardware/software integration for systems involving sensors, motor control, data acquisition, communication interfaces, and device-to-PC communication.

Participate in board bring-up, peripheral validation, firmware debugging, and production test readiness.

Review schematics and PCB layouts from a firmware and system reliability perspective.

Contribute to analog and digital circuit design discussions where firmware behavior, signal quality, power, or EMI/EMC are involved.

Help improve engineering practices around Git, documentation, code review, iterative development, and release discipline.

Troubleshoot complex field, production, firmware, and hardware interaction issues.

Requirements

7+ years of hands-on embedded software / firmware development experience.Strong C/C++ development experience in resource-constrained embedded environments.

Practical experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers; STM32F4 or similar STM32 families are highly preferred.

Experience with common embedded communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, or USB.Ability to work close to hardware: board bring-up, oscilloscope / logic analyzer debugging, peripheral-level troubleshooting, and production issue analysis.

Good understanding of analog and digital electronics.Experience with PCB design workflows and layout review; Altium Designer experience is a strong plus.

Awareness of signal integrity, power supply design, grounding, noise, EMI/EMC, and manufacturability considerations.

Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating firmware / embedded engineering work for at least 3 years.

Comfortable using Git-based workflows; experience setting up or improving Git practices is a plus.

Familiarity with Agile, iterative product development, code reviews, issue tracking, and engineering documentation.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional technical teams.

You will work on real-world biomedical device platforms, not only isolated firmware modules.

The role combines firmware, electronics, integration, and technical coordination.

You will have visible ownership across prototype, validation, production, and field reliability.

The team needs someone who can bridge hardware, firmware, product, and quality conversations.

This is a strong fit for engineers who enjoy staying hands-on while also guiding technical execution.
