We are looking for a
Senior Embedded Linux Engineer
to lead the Linux platform on the SoC of a next-generation
Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV)
program spanning IVI and ADAS domains.
On the SoC platform, embedded Linux provides core BSP services, connectivity, and platform capabilities for cockpit and ADAS workloads - often running as a guest alongside QNX and Android under hypervisor-based virtualization.
In this role, you will define and drive the Yocto-based platform architecture, kernel strategy, bootloader integration, and long-term maintainability across automotive SoC targets.
Key Responsibilities:
You will work across platform architecture, integration, and technical leadership:
Platform Architecture:
Lead and evolve the embedded Linux platform architecture for automotive SoCs; act as the technical interface to silicon vendors and ecosystem partners.
Yocto & BSP Development:
Drive Yocto/BitBake-based platform development, including BSP integration, kernel configuration, device tree design, and bootloader setup (U-Boot).
Performance & Reliability:
Optimize system boot time, memory footprint, performance, and platform stability across multiple product variants.
System Integration:
Integrate Linux within a virtualized environment alongside QNX, Android, and Adaptive AUTOSAR; support QEMU-based development and validation workflows.
Technical Leadership & Debugging:
Lead root-cause analysis and resolve complex platform issues; contribute to architectural decisions across multi-SoC deployments.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a senior engineer with strong embedded Linux and Yocto expertise, capable of owning platform architecture in complex automotive SoC environments.
Core Requirements:
Embedded Linux & Yocto: 4+ years of experience with Yocto/BitBake-based platform development.
Kernel & Boot: Strong experience with Linux kernel, U-Boot, device trees, and BSP integration on ARM-based SoCs.
Systems Programming: Proficiency in C/C++, shell scripting, and system-level performance optimization.
Platform Debugging: Experience in root-cause analysis and debugging of complex system-level issues.
Embedded / Automotive Experience: Experience in automotive, or other safety-critical embedded systems.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
Experience with multi-product or multi-SoC platform ownership
Knowledge of security hardening, secure boot, and OTA/update strategies
Contributions to open-source projects (Yocto, Linux, AOSP)
Experience with QEMU/KVM-based development environments
Familiarity with hypervisor-based guest integration (e.g., QNX Hypervisor)
Awareness of ASPICE, ISO 26262, or ISO 21434 processes
Why Join Us?
You will shape the Linux foundation of a modern automotive SoC platform - enabling cockpit, connectivity, and ADAS services to run efficiently in a virtualized SDV architecture.
This is an opportunity to build and evolve a scalable Linux platform using modern engineering practices across a complex, multi-domain vehicle software stack.
