We are looking for a
Senior Embedded Software Engineer
to lead the architecture and implementation of AUTOSAR Classic software on our MCU-based automotive software platform within a next-generation Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) program spanning IVI and ADAS domains.
On the MCU side of the vehicle compute architecture, you will design and evolve safety-critical middleware, including RTE, communication, PDU routing, diagnostic interfaces, and storage, using a code-first, modern C++ approach.
This role goes beyond traditional AUTOSAR model-based tooling and focuses on developing production-quality C++ software that integrates with our open Base Software (BSW) stack.
Key Responsibilities:
You will contribute across architecture, implementation, and technical leadership within the MCU Classic AUTOSAR stack:
AUTOSAR Classic Architecture: Define and own the architecture of MCU firmware and AUTOSAR Classic components; align design decisions with system architects and customer stakeholders.
Middleware Implementation: Design, implement, and enhance middleware components such as RTE, COM, and PDU routing, including unit testing and documentation.
Integration & Debugging: Integrate AUTOSAR stack components with RTOS, low-level drivers, and platform services; troubleshoot complex issues using JTAG, trace, and protocol analysis tools.
Quality & Review: Review and approve requirements, architecture, design, code, tests, and documentation; ensure compliance with functional safety and quality standards.
Cross-Domain Collaboration: Work closely with MCU platform, low-level, security, and SoC teams to ensure end-to-end software integration across the vehicle platform.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a senior engineer who combines strong AUTOSAR Classic expertise with modern C++ skills and the ability to take ownership of architectural decisions in a safety-critical embedded environment.
Core Requirements:
Modern C++: Strong proficiency in modern C++ for embedded firmware, middleware, and driver development.
AUTOSAR Classic: Solid understanding of AUTOSAR concepts, including RTE, communication stacks, diagnostics, and NVM/storage.
RTOS & Embedded Systems: Experience with RTOS-based systems and multi-core MCU architecture.
Testing: Experience with unit testing frameworks such as gtest/gmock.
Debugging: Hands-on experience with embedded debugging tools (JTAG, tracing, protocol analyzers).
Automotive Context: Background in automotive and safety-critical embedded software development.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
Experience with TriCore, ARM, or POSIX-based platforms
Familiarity with MISRA, CERT, or similar static analysis standards
Scripting experience (Python, Ruby) and integration testing (e.g., PyTest)
Knowledge of ISO 26262, ISO 21434, or ASPICE processes
Exposure to Eclipse OpenBSW or code-first BSW approaches
Why Join Us?
You will play a key role in shaping the MCU middleware layer that connects safety-critical vehicle functionality to a modern SDV platform.
This is an opportunity to build Classic AUTOSAR software using a modern, code-first approach - focusing on clean C++, solid testing, and well-defined architecture, without traditional toolchain constraints.
