Job Description

We are partnering with an innovative space technology company developing next-generation Earth observation satellites capable of detecting and responding to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy. Their capabilities support mission-critical applications across defence, maritime, intelligence, and security sectors.

They are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to lead the design and delivery of high-reliability mixed-signal electronics for satellite platforms. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, with ownership of critical hardware systems and influence over long-term engineering direction and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, validation, and qualification of mixed-signal electronics for space applications
  • Own hardware systems end-to-end, from concept through testing, manufacturing, and in-orbit performance
  • Drive system architecture decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, and mission success
  • Coordinate cross-functional development activities across engineering disciplines
  • Establish and promote engineering best practices in hardware design, testing, and documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the lifecycle, including development, production, and on-orbit anomalies
  • Use data and industry insights to inform design decisions and improve system performance
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to building a high-performing hardware team

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in electronics engineering, ideally in aerospace, embedded, or other mission-critical environments
  • Strong background in board-level design, including schematics, PCB layout, bring-up, and validation
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects with system-level impact
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical problems using advanced design and measurement techniques
  • Expertise in lab testing and system-level validation, with confident use of standard test equipment
  • Strong skills in debugging and root-cause analysis at board and system level
  • Ability to balance technical performance with cost, manufacturability, and schedule
  • Clear communicator, able to work effectively across teams and stakeholders

Desirable Skills:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (BSc/MSc/PhD)
  • Experience in the aerospace or space industry
  • Familiarity with radiation effects, thermal constraints, and in-orbit operations
  • Experience with Python or scripting in Linux environments

We welcome applications from international candidates and are able to provide visa sponsorship for highly qualified individuals .
