Title: Senior Electrical Engineer (PCB Design / FPGA / Altium)

Location: Burlington, MA (100% Onsite)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of custom electronic hardware for advanced analytical instrumentation systems. This role owns the complete lifecycle of PCBAs and electronic subsystems, from architecture and design through validation, manufacturing release, and field support.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with Altium Designer, FPGA development using Verilog, and full-cycle PCB design within a structured product development environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Electronic Hardware Design
  • Design next-generation electronic hardware systems
  • Develop custom PCBAs supporting sensing, data acquisition, and embedded electronics
  • Own complete hardware development lifecycle
  • Support architecture definition and subsystem design
  • PCB Design & Development
  • Create and maintain component libraries
  • Perform:
  • Schematic Capture
  • PCB Layout
  • Board Bring-Up
  • Hardware Debug
  • Release production-ready electronic assemblies
  • Support design verification and validation activities
  • FPGA Development
  • Develop FPGA/CPLD solutions using Verilog
  • Support integration of programmable logic into electronic systems
  • Collaborate with hardware and embedded software teams
  • Participate in design reviews and technical decision-making
  • Product Development & Manufacturing Support
  • Support transition from development into production

Qualifications

  • BSEE or MSEE
  • Minimum 5+ years of Electrical Engineering experience
  • Strong experience with:
  • Altium Designer
  • FPGA Design
  • Verilog
  • PCB Design
  • PCB Layout
  • Proven experience with:
  • Schematic Capture
  • Board Bring-Up
  • Hardware Debug
  • Experience using laboratory test equipment
  • Strong understanding of digital and mixed-signal electronics
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Compensation
