Senior FPGA / Digital Hardware Design Engineer

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Duration: 12–24+ months


Clearance Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship required

• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer with strong FPGA and board-level design experience to support development of advanced electronic systems. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to contribute across architecture, implementation, and system integration.


Responsibilities:

• Design and develop digital hardware systems and subsystems

• Work with FPGA, SoC, and embedded hardware architectures

• Perform schematic capture and multi-layer PCB design

• Analyze signal integrity, timing, and high-speed interfaces

• Collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers


Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• 8+ years of digital hardware design experience (or MS + 6 years)

• Experience with FPGA or SoC-based systems

• Experience with schematic capture and board-level design

• Experience designing multi-layer PCBs (controlled impedance, microvias)

• Ability to work independently and lead technical efforts


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Mentor Graphics or similar design tools

• High-reliability, aerospace, or defense environment experience

• Experience with signal integrity, worst-case, or stress analysis
