Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Oslo Region for a Senior AIoT and Embedded System Researcher. The role involves researching and developing AIoT solutions for mission-critical projects, working on advanced AI-based algorithms, and contributing to the development and integration of embedded systems for use in underwater communication and related domains. The candidate will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers to enhance multi-modal communication technologies and create innovative solutions for defense and industry-specific applications.

Qualifications
  • Expertise in AI algorithms, machine learning, and deep learning, particularly for industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of embedded systems, hardware-software integration, and real-time systems
  • Experience with underwater communication technologies and related protocols, including optical, acoustic, or magneto-induction communication
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in embedded systems and AI development, such as C/C++, Python, or MATLAB
  • Ability to perform data analysis, simulation, and testing to optimize communication and AI models
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with defense-related projects or critical infrastructure is a plus
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent industry experience will also be considered
