A leading advanced manufacturing organization is seeking a Robotics Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of automated manufacturing systems within a state-of-the-art production environment. This hands-on role will partner closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, equipment vendors, and system integrators to develop robotic solutions that improve safety, efficiency, quality, and throughput across manufacturing operations. Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and deploy robotic cells, automation systems, and associated components.

Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for robotic automation and material handling improvements.

Develop and support robotic control software and system integration activities.

Collaborate with engineering teams on robotic cell layouts, end-of-arm tooling, and gripper design.

Support prototyping, testing, commissioning, and startup of automation equipment.

Work with automation vendors and integrators through equipment design, specification, and quotation processes.

Perform system testing, troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement activities.

Develop documentation, operating procedures, and training materials for robotic systems.

Train operations, maintenance, and engineering personnel on robotic equipment operation and integration.

Monitor system performance and implement enhancements to improve reliability, productivity, and quality.

Research emerging robotics technologies and recommend innovative solutions for manufacturing applications.

Participate in future facility expansion and automation initiatives.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.

3+ years of experience designing, implementing, or supporting robotic systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Experience with industrial robots and robotic cell integration.

Knowledge of robotic programming, automation controls, and manufacturing processes.

Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar.

Experience with CAD/CAM software and generating manufacturing drawings.

Knowledge of industrial automation platforms and integration with PLC systems.

Hands-on experience with mechatronics, sensors, actuators, and automation hardware.

Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.

Integration experience with FANUC, ABB, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar automation platforms.

Design of pick-and-place, material handling, palletizing, machine tending, or equipment loading automation systems.
