About The Role

• Design, train, and deploy computer vision models for plant growth monitoring, yield forecasting, pest/disease assessment, and other applications.
• Integrate CV models into the Hexafarms SaaS workflow, building performant APIs and end-to-end solutions.
• Architect and maintain robust data pipelines for image ingestion, preprocessing, and annotation.
• Drive experimentation, benchmarking, and continuous improvement of both models and pipelines.
• Lead hands-on robotics development: perception, locomotion, odometry, and hardware-software integration.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deploy practical robotic systems in greenhouse environments, bridging computer vision with autonomous operations.
  
  

Your profile

• Classical computer vision (YOLO-based segmentation) is effortless for you– you’ll master existing pipelines in the first few weeks.
• You thrive on building new CV models and experimenting across the full stack– from camera firmware to post-processing.
• You can prove, or quickly demonstrate, that you can design and run end-to-end CV pipelines.
• You have, or can show, experience with autonomous navigation, collision avoidance, and full-stack robotics– you’ll get all the hardware and SDK support you need.
• You’re curious about ag/plant biology and love diving into unknown domains– you don’t need to be an expert, just fascinated to explore.

NOTE: Berlin-based presence is preferred, but for the right candidate anywhere in the EU, we’ll try our best to make it work.
