Job Title: Resident Electronics Engineer – Full Vehicle EE Systems (100% On-Site) Location: Austin, Texas

Employer: Tier-1 Automotive Electronics Supplier

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Travel: minimum (Resident role – live within 30 min of plant) except some training trips in Mexico plants and little to none supporting tasks for other customer sites within US.

The Role

Become the on-site electronics authority embedded full-time at a major Texas OEM plant. Stand line-side, shift rotation, stopping $50K/hour downtime in <10 min. Assist OEM troubleshoot and failure analysis, and daily OEM + Mexico factory syncs.

What You’ll Do

• Line-Side Firefighter/Gatekeeper
• Support and communicate with customer Quality engineers and supply chain team
• OEM Partner: work with OEM factories for the products on-site for all product issues
• Manage third party companies for sorting/reworking projects

What You Bring

• B.S. Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering
• 3+ years vehicle electronics
• Prior resident or launch role at OEM plant
• Mexico Supply Chain Experience:
• Worked with maquiladoras (IMMEX)
• Fluent in Spanish (technical & plant-floor) is a plus
• Steel-toe stamina: up to 12–16 hr days, 8–12 miles walked, 50+ lbs lifted
