Job Description

Who we are:

Simplicity. Applied. is more than just a slogan at M2M Services— it's the driving force behind our global tech leadership . With headquarters in Bulgaria and offices in the United States , our journey is marked by constant growth and transformation.

We focus on creating and developing innovative IoT solutions for the security industry. With our best-in-class engineering capabilities, we treat our customers to the highest value of dependable and affordable products.

Our footprint spreads to over 50+ countries on 6 continents, serving over 10 000 businesses. And advancing the daily lives of more than 1,5 million end users.

We value people as much as we value technology . As a team, we foster curiosity, intelligence, proactiveness, and creativity to navigate our way to innovation and progress .

Who you are:

You are someone to do what is right, not what is easy . A great team player who truly knows that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. A smart achiever to constantly aim for efficiency. Someone to do what you do and strive to do it best . A curious explorer , ever ready to take on a new challenge . A proactive self-starter who leads and encourages others to lead. You value personal contact and straight-forward relationships . Working from office is not an issue for you , since you build something meaningful while there. So then, you’re just like every one of us!

What is your new role:

  • Own , prioritize , and maintain the product backlog for our embedded team in line with our business goals, while staying flexible to keep up with them.
  • Translate business goals into actionable user stories and technical tasks .
  • Define and adjust the product roadmap for firmware features, ensuring alignment with the hardware specifics and the overall IoT ecosystem of our products.
  • Align between different teams to ensure cohesion and fluidity.
  • Participate in sprint planning , follow-up distributed tasks and define clear acceptance criteria to ensure our definition of “done” is met.
  • Oversee the hardware product lifecycle from initial prototyping and PCB iterations to mass production and over-the-air (OTA) updates .

What it takes:

  • experience as an Embedded Software / Firmware Engineer with strong skills in C programming , and being ready to take the challenge of bringing impact beyond coding ;
  • willingness to switch to a product-focused role and elevate your problem-solving objectives from "how" to “what and why” ;
  • hands-on experience and fair understanding of the embedded world (circuit boards, components, microcontrollers, RTOS, communication protocols) – you wouldn’t need to design the boards or write the code, but you certainly must speak the language of the engineers;
  • being comfortable discussing technical details, but also stepping back to see the bigger picture;
  • proactivity and ability to take ownership;
  • experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (we use Jira);
  • AI-friendly mindset and readiness to leverage AI tools into daily workflows to drive optimization and efficiency;
  • flexibility and willingness to switch between priorities, even if that bugs with the ideally planned sprint;
  • fluent English (written and spoken) with the ability to align between different teams to get things done;
  • a formal education degree, ideally in Electronics Engineering , Computer Science or other relevant technical field;
  • being committed to working from our office to achieve best results, through efficiency, direct communication and good relationships with colleagues.

What it gives:

  • being part of a Bulgarian product company and constantly growing global leader, with a series of international awards in the security field;
  • the opportunity to make great impact on millions of lives, making them better and safer with our in-house developed and built products;
  • having the chance to excel in your role or find yourself in another by learning from our solid know-how and best-in-class professionals;
  • a year-end bonus (13th salary) and generally, a flexible salary increase policy, based on proactiveness and achievement;
  • premium health insurance package for you and your family;
  • free parking space in our building’s lot or a greener option, if you’d prefer – a company covered public transport card;
  • monthly food vouchers and a number of corporate discounts;
  • sports venues membership card (Multisport);
  • complimentary breakfast, gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, childbirth and holidays;
  • and last, but not least – our positive company culture and refreshing regular team gatherings, Easter & Christmas parties, as well as annual team-buildings!

Please note, that we just love being all together in our office and provide on-site options only .

If it sounds like we can go well together and do great things, we’d love to hear from you!
