Principal Power Electronics Engineer

I have partnered with one of the most exciting defense technology start-ups in the United States, a company building the next generation of missile defense and launch systems designed to dramatically reduce cost, increase production scale, and accelerate deployment timelines for the U.S. & allied nations.

As they continue to scale, they are seeking a Principal Power Electronics Engineer to play a key role in the development of advanced power conversion systems that sit at the heart of their launch and defense platforms.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the design and development of advanced power conversion systems.
• Define electrical architectures and select key power components
• Develop switching power converters, motor control systems.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams.
• Support HW from concept, prototyping, qualification, production, and launch.

What We're Looking For:

• Expertise developing power electronics systems.
• Strong background in aerospace, defense, launch vehicles, advanced transportation.
• Proficiency in Switch-Mode Power Supplies, Motor Drives, & Motion Control, Feedback Control Systems, Power Distribution Architectures, PCD Design & HW Development.
• Experience taking HW products from concept through production.

Location: California, US-based | Onsite

Salary: $160k-$250k base
