We're working with a specialist in high-performance, mission-critical avionics and defense computing - the kind of equipment that goes into platforms where "good enough" isn't in the vocabulary. They're looking for a Principal Hardware Engineer to step into a technical leadership role: not just designing boards, but setting the direction for how complex hardware gets built, qualified, and certified.

🔧 The Role

You'll be the technical authority across the hardware lifecycle - from concept through qualification and certification:

• Lead design and development of hardware systems in line with company process and regulatory standards
• Own analog functions and electrical interfaces supporting qualification activity
• Drive schematic capture and PCB layout across digital and analog designs
• Lead design reviews, technical studies, and documentation governance
• Support system integration, qualification, and certification
• Define specifications and manage external partners/subcontractors

🎯 What You'll Bring

• Master's degree in Electronic Engineering
• Significant experience in hardware design and system-level engineering
• Deep expertise in analog design and simulation, power electronics, high-speed signal design, and processor architecture
• Strong grounding in DO-254 and regulated development environments, plus electrical testing and airborne equipment qualification
• A track record of leading technical decisions and mentoring engineers around you
