POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Power Electronics Controls Engineer in the Advanced Engineering group, you will develop the embedded control and protection systems that govern Fluidstack's next-generation HVDC/LVDC power distribution architecture. You will work at the intersection of power electronics hardware and real-time software, owning control algorithms from specification through commissioning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement embedded control firmware for high-power HVDC/LVDC converters using microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs.
• Develop real-time protection and monitoring systems for high-voltage, high-current power electronics.
• Write firmware in C/C++ and FPGA HDL (VHDL/Verilog) for power management and fault response.
• Perform hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and model-based design using MATLAB/Simulink or PLECS.
• Design isolated communication interfaces and sensor signal conditioning circuits.
• Support PCB bring-up, hardware debug, and integration testing for power electronics assemblies.
• Lead reliability validation and manufacturing transfer for control systems in mission-critical deployments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Qualifications
