Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

5+ years of professional experience in PCB layout and design.

Expert-level proficiency with Altium Designer.

Must have recent Altium Designer experience

Experience in design of High speed boards, High density interconnects, High speed impedance control is relevant.

Strong understanding of high-speed design principles, grounding strategies, impedance control, and PCB stack-up optimization.

Experience with DFM/DFT and collaborating with external manufacturers.

Solid understanding of digital, analog, and mixed-signal design requirements.

Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for automotive or embedded electronics.

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment.
Pluses

Experience with automotive-grade electronics (ISO 26262, AEC-Q standards).

Exposure to flex and rigid-flex PCB designs.

Familiarity with version control systems and PLM tools.

Experience designing for EMC/EMI compliance testing.
Roles & Responsibilities
-
Lead the schematic capture, layout, and documentation of multi-layer PCB designs using Altium Designer.
-
Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate high-speed, power, and mixed-signal designs into manufacturable layouts.

Optimize board layouts for signal integrity, EMI/EMC, thermal performance, and manufacturability.

Review and create documentation including Gerber files, fabrication drawings, assembly notes, and BOMs.

Perform design rule checks (DRC) and electrical rule checks (ERC) to ensure quality and compliance.

Interface with contract manufacturers and PCB fabrication houses for prototyping and production builds.

Support design reviews, validation efforts, and bring-up of first articles.

Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, test, and embedded teams to ensure cohesive product development.
Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000 a year
