About the job

At DEIF A/S, we specialise in the development and manufacturing of electronic devices designed to seamlessly control and switch between various energy sources, including solar, wind, diesel, and batteries, for efficient and reliable power production.

As a PCB Layout Designer, you’ll join our Hardware & Mechanics department, a team of 19 skilled engineers. Y ou’ll be responsible for creating PCB layouts for our electronic designs, working closely with hardware and mechanical designers, as well as engineers in our electronics factory at our headquarters in Skive.

“This is a newly established role at DEIF, which means you’ll be the primary go-to person for all things related to PCB design and specification. To thrive in this position, it’s essential that you bring a solid understanding of PCB design and manufacturing – and a passion for taking ownership and driving things forward”, explains department manager, Ole Morsing.

Working tasks and responsibilities

• Design complex multi-layer PCBs, including high-speed digital, low-noise analog, and power electronics
• Generate production-ready documentation (Gerber files, assembly drawings, drill files, etc.)
• Ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) in collaboration with the project team and factory
• Maintain and update existing PCB-designs
• Ensure constraints rules are applied to design and CAD-files
• Support simulations of critical parameters
• Assist in creating symbols, components, and BOMs

Your Profile

What is most important to us is that you possess a strong drive, structure and a desire to make things happen – not just by yourself but in collaboration with others. Your interest and willingness to enter and grow within this area are more important than specific experience. Ideally, you:

• Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field
• Have knowledge of hardware, electronic components, and EMC
• Understand high-speed design, signal integrity, analogue components, and power electronics
• Have experience with PCB layout and simulation tools (e.g., Allegro Layout, OrCAD Capture, Allegro Constraint Manager)
• Are proficient in English
