Mechatronics Engineer – Robotics & Controls (Hands-on)
Location: Vadodara / Onsite
Experience: 2–4 years
Role Summary
Hands-on role to design, program, and commission robotic and industrial automation systems (gantry, conveyors, pick-and-place).
You will work directly on machines - wiring, debugging, and integrating complete systems, not just programming. The role requires strong PLC development, motion control, and real-world commissioning experience, along with the ability to troubleshoot across electrical, mechanical, and control systems. Hands-on experience with robot integration is mandatory. Ideal for engineers who enjoy building and troubleshooting real machines on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
-
Develop and debug PLC programs (Ladder, ST) for real machines
-
Build control logic for pick-and-place, sorting, conveyors & material handling.
-
Work with servo motors, drives & VFDs (wiring, parameterization & basic tuning)
-
Hands-on experience with industrial robots (KUKA / ABB / Fanuc or equivalent) is REQUIRED
-
Integrate and wire sensors, encoders, pneumatics & actuators
-
Implement industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, RS-232/485, EtherCAT)
-
Perform commissioning (FAT/SAT) & on-site troubleshooting
-
Perform and validate control wiring as part of system integration (not repetitive electrician work) (single phase & control wiring)
-
Handle cable routing, ferruling, labeling & system wiring
-
Debug electrical + control issues directly on machines
-
Work across electrical, mechanical & control systems
-
Understand & troubleshoot complete system behaviour
